Enteractive schließt Kooperation mit Time Warner-Tochter CVC

Enteractive Entertainment GmbH Hamburg, a partly-owned (85%) subsidiary of Splendid Medien AG, has signed a cooperation agreement with California Video Center (CVC) of Los Angeles. The move makes Enteractive a sub-licensee of CVC, a subsidiary of the Time Warner Entertainment Company, L.P., which specialises in DVD processing and production (premastering).
As a sub-licensee, Enteractive is one of eight partners world-wide in CVC's international network of DVD premastering companies and will share European DVD premastering work with another company in London.

Enteractive's main area of activity is in the field of DVD premastering with complete post-production (i.e. digital video editing, MPEG2/Dolby Digital encoding, DVD authoring) and creative services (project management, screen design, animation).

Splendid Television markets Project Greenlight series

Splendid Television/New York, a subsidiary of Splendid Medien AG, will now also be responsible for international sales outside North America of the Project Greenlight TV series on behalf of producer Miramax Television and financier Abandon Entertainment/Los Angeles. In so doing, Splendid Television will be continuing its cooperation agreement with Abandon, a US film and television distribution company. The first project covered by the agreement was Glory Days, an American soap also produced by Miramax Television.
Project Greenlight (12 episodes of 30 minutes each) will begin airing in the United States in December. The series is a documentary recounting the unusual making of the film 'Stolen Summer', and prominently features super star producers Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

Gangs of New York

The drama Gangs of New York (Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz), a co-production between Splendid Medien AG, IEG and Miramax, will not now go on general release in the US on December 21st 2001 as planned. This is because of the September 11th terrorist attacks on New York and Washington. No precise release date has been set for either the Unites States or Germany.

Gangs of New York, Martin Scorsese's latest film, takes place in the New York of the 19th Century. The streets of the thoroughly corrupt city are ruled by brutal gangs. On one side there are the Native Americans led by the unscrupulous Bill 'the Butcher' (Daniel Day-Lewis), on the other the Dead Rabbits. When Bill has Dead Rabbits' leader Vallon murdered from behind, the killing is witnessed by just one person: Vallon's son (Leonardo DiCaprio). And he swears bloody revenge.
Scorsese's gang(ster) drama is all about honour, vengeance and the power of love, featuring Cameron Diaz as a pickpocket torn between good and evil, between Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Day-Lewis.
